Xinpuh Station Introduction
The Miaoli section of the Coastal Line Railway has three wooden train stations from the Japanese colonial period that remain to this day, and Xinpuxiang Station is one of them. The station and its railway facilities exude an antiquated and weathered atmosphere, creating a unique travel style that is nostalgic and leisurely. Xinpuxiang Station is also the closest station to the sea along the Western Taiwan Railway Main Line. Since its opening in 1922, it has nearly reached its centenary, and the structure and architectural style of this wooden station hold significant historical value. The station is still in normal operation today. When visiting, simply slow down and take time to explore the corners for traces of the past, and enjoy the beauty of the afternoon sunlight against the weathered wooden structure, allowing yourself to be immersed in the aesthetic of light and shadow.
