Xinfu Station Introduction
The Hai-xian Railway's Miaoli section has three wooden train stations from the Japanese colonial era that have been preserved to this day, and Xinpu Station is one of them. The station and its railway facilities exude an old, weathered atmosphere, creating a unique travel style that is retro, nostalgic, and laid-back. Xinpu Station is also the closest station to the sea on the Western Railway Line of Taiwan Railways, having been in operation since 1922, making it nearly a hundred years old. The architectural style and historical value of this wooden station are quite significant, and it is still in use today. When you arrive here, just slow down, take the time to search for traces of the past in every corner, and admire the beauty of the afternoon sunlight contrasting with the weathered wooden structure, immersing yourself in the beauty of light and shadow.
