Lukang Ceramics Museum Introduction
Shih Hsing-hui, also known as Tao Ming-fang-chieh, was born in 1963 in Lukang. His works have won the Second and Third National Craft Awards. "I do not wish to create works that cannot touch others" is Shih's creative philosophy. Over twenty years of pottery-making, he has continuously pondered the various relationships between himself, the land, life, and creation. Thus, he explores from the people, events, objects, and places in life, presenting the connection between humans and their works through the emotions inspired by the details of his surroundings. After years of honing his craft, he has gradually integrated scenes and objects from life into his works.
