Silo Theater Introduction
The Xiluo Theater was built in 1940 with funding from the prominent Lin Guanghe family of Xiluo. It is quite famous in the region and has contributed to the bustling commercial area known as Xiluo's Ximen District. The theater has been designated as a historical building, and its elegant architecture has been well-preserved to this day. The architectural layout of the Xiluo Theater is symmetrical, with staircases located on both sides. The first floor features a stage and audience seating, with cypress wood working spaces on either side of the stage, and a central cypress wood frame structure. The second floor contains wooden audience seating and a projection room. The exterior façade includes gables with ventilation windows and louvered wooden windows. The gables are adorned with Baroque pebble wash skirting and additional decorative patterns and lined tile surfaces, reflecting a Neoromantic style.
