Fuwan Health and Leisure Farm (Fuwan Manor) Introduction
Fuwuan Manor is the first leisure farm in Pingtung County to successfully change its land use for specific purposes. Built with a deep affection for the homeland, Fuwuan Manor showcases the charm of Donggang through ecological construction methods. The farm features traditional earth houses that play a role in cultural and artistic heritage. These houses are made by mixing yellow clay, brown sugar, rice husks, and seaweed in fixed proportions, and undergo a three-stage process of grinding, fermentation, and shaping over six months to create earth bricks. The exterior walls are then coated with a protective layer of a mixture of white lime and tung oil. The earth houses regularly host exhibitions of artists' works, allowing friends of the manor to appreciate the artists' different interpretations of life, providing a unique and enriching spiritual experience while on vacation.
