Sunset Bay Introduction
In the early days, residents around Dapeng Bay primarily engaged in aquaculture, leading to a network of water intake pipes that sprawled across the ground, causing visual clutter and management issues. After extensive coordination and planning, the pipelines of the aquaculture operators were reorganized and consolidated into a "shared water intake pool" for communal use. This not only resolved the issues related to the site and its management but also created a new recreational and educational space. A bike path and walking trail were planned along the lagoon's perimeter, making it one of the best spots for watching the sunset. The facilities are fully accessible, making it suitable for those pushing wheelchairs to enjoy the breeze and stroll amidst the beautiful glow of the sunset. To better align this scenic spot with the cultural characteristics of Dapeng Bay tourism, a naming event was held in 2014, ultimately renaming it to "Sunset Bay."
