Sunset Bay Introduction
In the early days, the residents around Dapeng Bay primarily engaged in aquaculture, with water pipes running across the ground, leading to visual chaos and management issues. After extensive planning and coordination, the pipelines of the aquaculture operators were reorganized and gathered into a "shared water pool" for collective use, which not only resolved the issues related to the scenic area and management but also created a space for recreation and education. Bicycle paths and walking trails have been planned along the lagoon, making it one of the best spots to watch the sunset. The facilities are fully accessible, thus suitable for wheelchair users who wish to enjoy the gentle breeze while strolling in the beautiful glow of the sunset. To make this site more reflective of the cultural characteristics of Dapeng Bay tourism, a naming event was held in 2014, and it was eventually renamed "Sunset Bay."
