Sunset Bay Introduction
In the early days, the residents around Dapeng Bay primarily engaged in aquaculture, with water pipes running above ground throughout every household, causing visual disarray and management challenges. After extensive coordination and planning, the aquaculture pipelines were reorganized and consolidated into a "shared water pool" for collective water usage. This not only resolved management issues but also created a recreational and educational space. Bicycle paths and walking trails have been planned along the lagoon, making it one of the best spots to admire the sunset. The facilities are fully accessible, making it suitable for those in wheelchairs to enjoy the breeze and stroll amidst the beautiful twilight. To make this attraction more in tune with the cultural and scenic characteristics of Dapeng Bay, a naming contest was held in 2014, resulting in the new name "Sunset Bay."
