Sunset Bay Introduction
In the early days, the residents around Dapeng Bay primarily engaged in aquaculture, with water pipelines running across the ground, causing visual disorder and management issues. After extensive coordination and planning, the aquaculture pipelines were reorganized and integrated into a "shared water collection pool" for communal use. This not only solved location and management problems but also created a recreational and educational space. A cycling path and hiking trail were developed around the lagoon, making it one of the best spots to watch the sunset. With complete barrier-free facilities, it is also suitable for those pushing wheelchairs to enjoy the breeze and stroll amidst the beautiful sunset glow. To better align this spot with the tourism and cultural characteristics of Dapeng Bay, a naming campaign was specially conducted in 2014, resulting in the renaming to "Sunset Bay."
