Shimen Historic Battlefield Introduction
The Shimen Ancient Battlefield is located at the junction of Checheng Township and Mudan Township. It is situated at a strategic pass, flanked by Shimu Mountain at an elevation of 370 meters and Wuchongxi Mountain at 450 meters. Walking along the trail on the steep rock walls, facing the mountain winds and blazing sun, requires extra caution. Upon reaching the summit, a monument inscribed with "Clearing the Sea and Returning Our Rivers and Mountains" stands before you, commemorating the heroic deeds of the victims from that time. Reading the inscription on the stone stele brings forth vivid memories of the fierce conditions of the battle, stirring feelings of sorrow.
