Shimen Historic Battlefield Introduction
Shimen Ancient Battlefield is located at the boundary of Checheng Township and Mudan Township. It is a strategically important pass formed by the steep cliffs of Shimu Mountain at an altitude of 370 meters and Wuchong Creek Mountain at 450 meters. Walking along the trail on the rugged rock faces under the mountain winds and scorching sun requires extra caution. Upon reaching the peak, a monument inscribed with "Clear the seas and restore our mountains" stands before you, commemorating the brave deeds of those who lost their lives in the battle years ago. Reading the inscription on the stone tablet evokes reflections on the fierce conditions of that historic battle, stirring feelings of sorrow.
