Shimen Ancient Battlefield Introduction
Shimen Historic Battlefield is located at the border of Checheng Township and Mudan Township. It is a strategically important pass formed between Shimum Mountain at an elevation of 370 meters and Wuchongxi Mountain at 450 meters. Walking along the trail on the rugged cliffs against the mountain wind and blazing sun requires extra caution. Upon reaching the summit, a monument inscribed with "Clearing the sea and returning our rivers and mountains" stands before you, commemorating the heroic deeds of those who died in the past. Reading the inscription on the stone tablet evokes memories of the tragic scenes from that battle, stirring deep feelings of sorrow.
