Qitou Riverside Park Introduction
Qitou Water Park is located on Baisha Island. Enter the park from the entrance at the Banyan Tree in Gangzi Village, and you'll reach it after passing the aquarium. The water park is designed to utilize tidal differences and is rich in marine ecology. Inside, there are intertidal walking areas, a circular wading pool with tidal variation, and children’s play facilities, making it a multifunctional recreational area. The intertidal ecology experience is a relatively new and unique tourist activity which allows visitors to personally engage in catching sea creatures, offering a different kind of marine recreation and serving as an educational destination. Qitou Water Park is integrated with the Penghu Aquarium to form an ecological activity area, with the intertidal zone in front, making it an excellent classroom for ecological learning. Qitou Village faces Yuánbèi Island across the sea, and on the eastern side behind the community is Qishan, which offers a broad view and features one of the Eight Scenic Views of Baisha, "Qishan Sunrise". Next to the water park is Qitou Fishing Port, serving as a ferry terminal for transport and recreational boats to Bird Island and Yuánbèi, and has become an important route hub for the Northeast Sea Tour.
