Wenshan Farm Introduction
Wenshan Farm in Quchi Village, Xindian District, is located in the foothills between Xindian MRT Station and the Wulai Scenic Area, featuring beautiful tea garden landscapes and refreshing air. The Xindian River winds past the farm from the northern foothills of Quchi Mountain, providing rich ecological diversity. The farm includes a camping area, picnic area, medicinal plant exhibition area, leisure activity area, family garden, tea art area, conference hall, tea-making learning center, agricultural product exhibition center, and children's playground, making it a new leisure destination in the Taipei and New Taipei areas. Wenshan Farm, the center for tea improvement in Taiwan, was established during the Japanese colonial period as the "Tea Industry Training Institute" and has been dedicated to the inheritance of tea production and improvement techniques in Taiwan since its inception. The brick tea factory within the farm is currently the only remaining tea factory in Taiwan with a chimney and is an important landmark of the farm. In recent years, Wenshan Farm has transformed into a leisure farm, receiving organic tea garden certification in 2013 and becoming the first farm registered in New Taipei City in 2017. It is also the venue for the annual "Taipei City and New Taipei City Wenshan Baozhong Tea Production Technique Competition." Managed by the New Taipei City Farmers' Association, Wenshan Farm serves as a multifunctional leisure area that hosts camping, barbecues, outdoor weddings, and is a popular site for outdoor teaching for elementary and middle schools as well as welcome activities for universities. The farm also offers one-day tour packages that include tea culture experiences and special DIY classes, allowing visitors to deeply engage in the processes of tea picking, production, and brewing. Wenshan Farm is also the largest firefly habitat in the Taipei and New Taipei areas, making it an excellent spot for firefly watching!
