New Taipei City Citizen Plaza Introduction
Citizen Plaza is located in front of the New Taipei City Hall. The spacious plaza is a place for citizens to relax. At the center of the New Taipei City Citizen Plaza is a multifunctional activity square, surrounded by a stage on the south, a green bamboo shoot landmark on the north, gardens on both the east and west sides, and an elevated walkway. Various activities organized by the city government are frequently held here. Among them, the most popular event is the "New Taipei City Christmasland," which takes place from November to December each year, featuring a series of exciting activities and colorful Christmas decorations that attract many citizens and make it an annual celebration for families. Sometimes, classic matches are broadcasted on a large electronic screen near the stage. Citizen Plaza is centrally located in the Xinban Special Zone, conveniently close to the City Hall, department stores, and the underground shopping district, and it serves as a hub for the Banqiao Station, which connects the three major transportation systems.
