New Taipei City Civic Plaza Introduction
Citizen Square is located in front of the New Taipei City Government. This spacious and large square serves as a place for citizens to relax. In the center of Citizen Square is a multifunctional event area, surrounded by a stage to the south, a green bamboo shoot landmark to the north, and gardens and aerial bridges on the east and west sides. Various activities organized by the city government are frequently held here, including the most popular "New Taipei City Christmasland," which takes place from November to December each year, featuring a series of exciting activities, colorful Christmas lights, and a variety of events that attract many citizens. It is also an annual highlight for families. Occasionally, classic sports events are broadcast on the large electronic display next to the stage. Citizen Square is situated in the center of the XIN BAN Special District, conveniently located near the city government building, department stores, and the underground shopping district, as well as being a key hub for the Banqiao Station, which integrates three transportation systems, making it very accessible.
