New Taipei City Citizen Plaza Introduction
The Citizen Plaza is located in front of the New Taipei City Hall. This large and spacious plaza is a popular recreational spot for residents. The multifunctional activity square in the center of the Citizen Plaza is surrounded by a stage to the south, a green bamboo shoot landmark to the north, gardens on both the east and west sides, and an overhead bridge. Various activities organized by the city government are frequently held here. Among the most popular is the "New Taipei City Christmasland," which takes place from November to December each year, featuring a series of exciting events, vibrant Christmas illuminations, and a variety of activities that attract many residents. It has become an annual celebration for families. Sometimes, iconic sporting events are broadcasted on the large electronic screens near the stage. The Citizen Plaza is centrally located in the Xindian District, in close proximity to the city hall, department stores, and shopping arcades in the underground street. Additionally, it is a pivotal area where the Banqiao Station, which integrates three transport systems, passes through, making it extremely convenient for transportation.
