ASEAN Square Introduction
ASEAN Plaza (formerly known as No. 1 Plaza) is located near Taichung Railway Station on Xichuan Street. Standing 13 stories tall, it is a comprehensive leisure and entertainment plaza surrounded by Section 1 of Taiwan Boulevard, Jiguang Street, Chenggong Road, and Xichuan Street. Situated in the commercial district in front of Taichung Station, it features an underground parking lot, boutique clothing stores, a food street, a cinema (First Cinema), KTV, an arcade, a billiards club, a bowling alley, an ice skating rink, and a folk music Western restaurant, making it a popular relaxation spot for teenagers and migrant workers. It is close to Taichung Station, Taichung Park, and Taichung Prefectural Hall, and due to the concentration of Southeast Asian shops, it is known as "Little Southeast Asia in Taichung." The area around ASEAN Plaza combines various streets, including Electronics Street, Jiguang Street, and the quaint Grass Street on Chenggong Road.
