ASEAN Square Introduction
ASEAN Square (formerly known as First Square) is located near Taichung Railway Station on Luyuan West Street. Standing 13 stories tall, it is a comprehensive leisure and entertainment plaza surrounded by Section 1 of Taiwan Boulevard, Jiguang Street, Chenggong Road, and Luyuan West Street. Situated in the commercial area in front of Taichung Station, it features an underground parking lot, boutique clothing stores, a food court, a cinema (First Cinema), karaoke, amusement arcade, billiards club, bowling alley, ice skating rink, and a folk music Western restaurant, making it a popular hangout for teenagers and migrant workers. Close to Taichung Station, Taichung Park, and the Taichung Prefectural Hall, it is known for its concentration of Southeast Asian shops, earning it the nickname "Little Southeast Asia of Taichung." The surroundings of ASEAN Square include various streets, such as Electronic Street, Jiguang Street, and the nostalgic Qingcao Street on Chenggong Road.
