Dajia Iron Anvil Mountain Scenic Area Introduction
Tiezhanshan is located in the northeastern corner of Dajia Township, on the south bank of the Daan River downstream. It serves as the climatic boundary between northern and southern Taiwan and is an important turning point for migratory birds returning to their northern habitats. The summit features a flat area covering several dozen square kilometers, shaped like a quadrangular pyramid, and from a distance, the mountain resembles a giant blacksmith's anvil, hence its name. Tiezhanshan has been associated with numerous legends and was once listed among the Eight Scenic Spots of Central Taiwan, long serving as a famous landmark in Dajia. From the top, one can overlook the winding Dajia and Daan Rivers, the turbulent Taiwan Strait in the distance, and the distinct farmland redevelopment areas and villages up close, presenting an incredibly beautiful vista. The scenic area has a rich cultural and historical significance with attractions like Jianjing and Guosing Temple, which are legendary historic sites; a sculpture plaza that is meticulously planned to promote the integration of art into daily life; and other diverse and rich attractions such as the Sculpture Park, Armed Forces Memorial Park (Weapon Gallery), and Yongxin Sports Park. In recent years, it has become a popular destination on weekends, focusing on themes of family integration, cultural history, natural landscapes, and outdoor sports camping. To promote tourism at Tiezhanshan, regular guided tours are provided every Sunday morning, with the first session from 09:00 to 10:00 and the second session from 10:30 to 11:30 (service is suspended during major holidays or make-up workdays). Visitors are encouraged to utilize these services, and the public can gather at the Tiezhanshan Visitor Center, where volunteers will assist without prior registration. For groups exceeding 15 people, please refer to the attachment to fill out a reservation request form.
