Tiezhanshan (Iron Anvil Mountain) is located in the northeastern part of Dajia District, Taichung City, covering an area of more than fifty hectares. The terrain on the mountain is flat and cone-shaped, resembling an iron anvil, which is how it got its name. During the Qing Dynasty, it was listed as one of the Twelve Landscapes of Taiwan for its beauty, known as "Tiezhanshan Sunset." Most of Tiezhanshan is protected forest land, and in recent years, it has gradually been developed into scenic spots and attractions, including Jianjing, the Martyrs' Shrine, the Military Cemetery, the statue of King Yanping, National Chung Cheng Park, and Yongxin Amusement Park, among others.

Dajia Tiezhanshan Scenic Area Introduction

Tiezhanshan, located in the northeastern corner of Dajia Township, is situated on the southern bank of the downriver Daan River, serving as a climatic boundary between northern and southern Taiwan and an important turning point for migratory birds returning to northern areas. The summit features a flat land area of several dozen square kilometers, resembling a quadrilateral pyramid, and the entire mountain looks like a giant anvil from a distance, hence its name. Tiezhanshan has numerous legends and was once listed as one of the eight scenic spots in central Taiwan; it has long been a famous landmark in Dajia.
