Starting from the Shiwai Trailhead, you will pass by six Buddhist temples along the way: Wanfoan, Lingxiandong, Jingangsi, Juerantai, Haihui'an, and Yuanguangsi. This is the most common route for general visitors. Continuing down from Wangyue Pavilion towards Quanhua Hall, you will have entered Miao Li County from Hsinchu County.
