Zhinan Temple Introduction
The most special aspect is that the Zinan Temple lends out NT$600 in prosperity money to the public. Those in need can consult the Earth God and the Earth Goddess by tossing divination blocks. If their requests for money are granted, the Zinan Temple will lend them the prosperity money. Usually, after their businesses stabilize, those who borrowed the prosperity money will repay the Earth God with a larger amount than they borrowed as gratitude. To facilitate people in requesting and returning money, the temple has set up a banking counter service for this purpose. Apart from seeking prosperity money, the Zinan Temple has also launched activities such as giving away "money mothers" during the New Year holiday in recent years, with each year's design being unique. During the Lunar New Year, the temple randomly distributes money mothers, leading to long lines as many people come to collect them. Additionally, on the sixteenth day of the lunar New Year, the temple hosts a free meal event serving traditional chicken wine. It is said that early women would offer a castrated chicken to express gratitude to the Earth God for adding members to their families on the fifteenth day of the lunar New Year. The temple collects these offerings and prepares sesame oil chicken to share with the residents, creating an event filled with gratitude and strong community spirit. In order to alleviate the crowds using the restroom, the temple invested NT$40 million to build a luxurious restroom shaped like bamboo shoots called "Golden Bamboo Welcomes Guests," which has unexpectedly become another emerging tourist attraction.
