Zinan Temple Introduction
The most special aspect is that Zinan Temple offers a prosperity fund of NT$600 to the public. Those in need can consult the Earth God and Earth Goddess by tossing divination blocks, and if their request for money is granted, Zinan Temple will lend them the prosperity fund. Typically, after achieving business stability, individuals who borrowed the prosperity fund will return it along with a greater amount of gratitude to thank the Earth God. To facilitate people coming to seek and return money, the temple provides this service like a bank counter. In addition to seeking the prosperity fund, in recent years, Zinan Temple has also launched events such as giving out fortune money during the New Year's holiday, with each year's design being unique. During the Lunar New Year, the temple also distributes fortune money at irregular intervals, leading to long queues of people eager to receive it. Furthermore, on the 16th day of the first lunar month each year, the temple holds a free "Ding Jiu" (chicken wine) event. It is said that early on, women would bring a castrated chicken to worship the Earth God on the 15th day of the lunar new year to express gratitude for the new addition to their family. The temple takes care of these offerings, cooking them into sesame oil chicken for the community to share, creating an event rich in gratitude and human connections. To alleviate bathroom congestion, the temple invested NT$40 million to build a luxurious restroom shaped like bamboo shoots, which unexpectedly became another emerging tourist attraction.
