Zinan Temple Introduction
The most special aspect is that Zinan Temple can lend the public NT$600 as a prosperity fund. Those in need can ask the Earth God and Earth Goddess for guidance by tossing divination blocks. If their request for the fund is granted, Zinan Temple will lend them the money. Generally, after their careers stabilize, those who borrowed the fund will return more than what they originally borrowed as a token of appreciation to the Earth God. To facilitate the process for the public to seek and return the funds, the temple also manages this service in a bank counter manner. In addition to seeking prosperity money, in recent years, Zinan Temple has launched activities such as giving out "money mothers" during the New Year holiday, with each year's design being uniquely creative. During the Lunar New Year period, "money mothers" are distributed at varying times, and the public often queues up for them, creating lively crowds. Furthermore, on the 16th day of the first lunar month each year, the temple hosts a free "ding wine" (chicken wine) event. It is said that early on, women would offer a capon on the 15th of the Lunar New Year to express gratitude for adding new life to their families, thanking the Earth God of Zinan Temple for his blessings. The temple then collectively processes these offerings, cooking them as sesame oil chicken to share with the residents, making it an event filled with gratitude and strong community spirit. To alleviate the crowding in the restroom, the temple invested NT$40 million to build a luxurious restroom shaped like bamboo shoots, named "Golden Bamboo Welcoming Guests," which has unexpectedly become another emerging tourist attraction.
