Zinan Temple Introduction
The most special aspect of Zinan Temple is that it offers a loan of NT$600 to the public as a blessing for wealth. Those in need can consult the Earth God and Earth Goddess by tossing divination blocks. If they successfully receive the fortune, Zinan Temple will lend the wealth. Typically, once their business stabilizes, individuals who borrowed the wealth will return a greater amount than they originally borrowed as an offering to express their gratitude to the Earth God. To facilitate people coming to seek and return the wealth, the temple handles this service in a bank counter manner. In addition to seeking wealth, in recent years, Zinan Temple has launched money-dispensing events during the New Year holidays, with each year’s design for the wealth amulet being unique. During the Lunar New Year period, they also distribute wealth amulets from time to time, often resulting in long queues as crowds eagerly await them. Moreover, on the 16th day of the first lunar month each year, the temple organizes a free "Ding Wine" (chicken wine) event. This tradition dates back to early days when women would bring a capon to worship on the 15th day of the first lunar month in gratitude for adding a new member to the family, thanking the Earth God for his blessings. The temple collectively processes these offerings into sesame oil chicken to share with the community, making it an event of gratitude and warmth among people. To alleviate the crowd in the restrooms, the temple has invested NT$40 million to build a luxurious restroom shaped like bamboo shoots called "Golden Bamboo Welcome," which has unexpectedly become another emerging tourist attraction.
