Jiji Bicycle Path - Green Tunnel Section Introduction
Located between Mingjian Township and Jiji Township, the 4.5-kilometer Zhangshu Highway is famously known as the Jiji Green Tunnel. These camphor trees, planted in 1940, were taken care of with great effort according to local elders' memories. Every day, water had to be transported from the creek to keep the trees from withering, to avoid penalties. Today, these camphor trees are lush and provide ample shade. Riding a bicycle through this path is a delightful experience, especially on hot summer days when one hardly feels the heat of the sun, truly embodying the saying "the ancestors planted the trees, and the descendants enjoy the shade!" Alongside the road is a scenic railway, with a little train passing slowly, adding to the poetic atmosphere, making it a great spot for many tourists and newlyweds to take photographs. 返回 COME!BIKEDAY 自行車旅遊網
