振興宮

Although the appearance of Zhengxing Temple is simple and unremarkable, it is home to the tablet of the ancestor of Qikan martial arts, Master Ah Shan. Next to Zhengxing Temple is the Zhengxing Society, which is the martial arts school that Master Ah Shan founded. From the initial archway to the Ah Shan Master's cemetery behind the temple, one can see the historical connection between Qikan in Xiluo and the development of Xiluo itself. When talking about Qikan martial arts in Xiluo, one cannot neglect Master Ah Shan (Liu Mingshan). After arriving in Taiwan in 1828 (the eighth year of the Daoguang era), he settled in Xiluo. As he was proficient in martial arts, he opened a martial arts school here to train disciples, leading the martial arts culture in Xiluo to flourish. The cemetery of Master Ah Shan behind Zhengxing Temple was not his original burial site; it was relocated there by later generations.

Zhenxing Temple Introduction

Although the appearance of Zhenxing Temple may seem plain and unremarkable, it is actually the site that enshrines the tablet of the ancestor of Qikan martial arts—Master A-Shan. Next to Zhenxing Temple is Zhenxing Society, which was the martial arts school founded by Master A-Shan. From the initial archway to the cemetery of Master A-Shan behind the temple, one can trace the historical ties between Qikan in Xiluo and the development of Xiluo itself. When discussing Qikan martial arts in Xiluo, one cannot overlook Master A-Shan (Liu Ming-Shan). After arriving in Taiwan in 1828 (the eighth year of the Daoguang era), he settled in Xiluo. Being proficient in martial arts himself, he established a martial arts school here to train disciples, thereby promoting the martial arts culture in Xiluo. The cemetery behind Zhenxing Temple is not the original burial site of Master A-Shan, but rather a relocation made by later generations.
