Jimmy's Theme Nangang Station Introduction

The beloved installation art inspired by Jimi is located in the Nangang Station of the Taipei Metro Bannan Line. Nangang Metro Station boldly introduces the internationally renowned paintings of Jimi, showcasing the modernity of the station in a realistic and aesthetically pleasing manner, making it one of the most talked-about topics since the station's opening. There are a total of six large color murals in the station, directly enlarged and produced on enamel boards from illustrations in Jimi's bestseller "The Metro," which are embedded in the walls; only one is a newly created work that incorporates iconic characters from Jimi's past creations. The largest mural, measuring 141 meters in length and 7 meters in height, is located on the wall of the platform. Under Jimi's delicate brushwork and observation, the scene depicts commuters waiting for the train, capturing a vivid view even before the train arrives, featuring an old man reading a newspaper, working professionals commuting, and a child without a seat, daydreaming of witches flying past the window, while pigs and rabbits run in the fields, racing with the train, making for an amusing depiction that enriches the idle waiting time with artistic charm.
