Neihu Mountain Trail Introduction
The entrance to the Neihu Mountain Trail is located beside the old Taiwan Provincial Highway 21 in Zhongming Village, connecting with the Shuixiang and Zhongming Bicycle Paths. The trail is approximately 1,500 meters long and gently ascends along the valley. It features stone steps and wooden boardwalks, passing behind the Yuanshan Hotel, where visitors can enjoy a distant view of Sun Moon Lake from a viewing platform. The end of the trail leads to the Lingxing Gate of the Wenwu Temple. Along the way, travelers can see cedar and bamboo forests, as well as plants such as pencil cedars and Begonia grandis. The shaded trail offers a refreshing experience, filled with the sounds of insects and birds, showcasing a rich ecosystem, especially notable for the fireflies that appear in late spring and early summer.
