Sun Moon Lake Bicycle Path - Tan Nan Section Introduction
Tan Nan Tribe belongs to the Bunun ethnic group of the Kasa community. It is named "Tan Nan" due to its location southwest of Sun Moon Lake. Starting from Sun Moon Lake, you can take Taiwan Route 21 south to the edge of Zhuoshui River, then follow Taiwan Route 16 upstream along the river and take Provincial Highway 97 north past the foothills of Shueishe Mountain to reach Tan Nan Village, before returning to the lakeside. This is a cycling route that is both close to nature and offers climbing challenges. It is suitable for cyclists who usually train regularly and enjoy challenging themselves.
