Ruiyou School Introduction
Ruiyou School was established in 1934 by Mr. Chen Ruiyou, who later developed in Singapore, and commissioned Mr. Chen Dexing of the same clan to build Ruiyou School in Biyuan Village. The campus covers an area of 20 acres and recruits local children for free education, benefiting the hometown community. The main building of the school is designed in the style of Western Baroque architecture, featuring a grand and elaborate hilltop. On the hilltop, there are themes represented by the national flag, the Kuomintang flag, Indian police, and a military band, along with clay sculptures of flowers and cranes, showcasing great creativity. It is now operated by the Biyuan Dongdian Community Development Association, planned as a space for cultural and artistic exhibitions. Visitors can also rent bicycles and four-wheeled pedal cars to stroll along the paths of the village, searching for 10 exquisite murals created collaboratively by picture book artist Liu Ruqi (Wawa) and local volunteers and schoolchildren, and enjoy a leisurely time.
