Fujian-style Sesame Cake Introduction

Located in Jinsha Township, Kinmen, this Min-style sesame pancake shop has a history of over thirty years. Some say that if you come to Kinmen and haven't tried the Min-style sesame pancakes, you haven't really been to Kinmen. The pancake was an early breakfast for the locals and a favorite among soldiers, who would take them back to Taiwan, gradually becoming a popular souvenir. What makes these pancakes delicious is their crispy skin and soft filling. The pancakes come in two flavors: sweet and salty, both of which are tasty. Each salty and sweet pancake costs twelve NT dollars (ten pieces per box) and are sold from morning until around five or six in the afternoon, with fresh batches coming out around two-thirty in the afternoon.
