Kinmen High School - Zhongzheng Hall Introduction
Zhongzheng Hall of Kinmen Junior High School is located on a high ground between Ximen and Xiabu in Jincheng. It was established in October 1951, constructed by Zhang Cailiang, the battalion commander of the 20th Army Engineer Corps, with designs by Liu Yunfeng, Chen Huili, and Liao Guangyan, and drawings by Wang Yinglan and Xu Ganquan. The construction was completed in just three months. At that time, General Hu Lian was the commander of Kinmen, and he embodied the spirit of perseverance and hard work for the military and civilians in Kinmen, famously transporting stones from Shanjian Village, two kilometers away, to build the surrounding wall of Zhongzheng Hall.
