Chung Cheng Hall, Kinmen Senior High School Introduction
Zhongzheng Hall of Kinmen High School is situated on a high ground between Ximen and Xiapu, Jiancheng, and was established in October 1951. It was built under the supervision of Zhang Cailiang, the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 20th Engineer Regiment of the Army, with design contributions from Liu Yunfeng, Chen Huili, and Liao Guangyan, and drawings by Wang Yinglan and Xu Ganquan, along with the collective efforts of all officers and soldiers. The construction took only three months. At that time, General Hu Lian was the commander of Kinmen, who instilled a spirit of overcoming difficulties in the military and civilian population of Kinmen, personally carrying stones to build the surrounding walls of Zhongzheng Hall from Shanjian Village, which has become a well-known story.
