Kinmen High School Chengzheng Hall Introduction
Zhongzheng Hall of Kinmen High School is situated on the high ground between Ximen and Xiaping in Jincheng. It was established in October 1951, constructed by Zhang Cailiang, the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 20th Army Engineer Corps, with the design by Liu Yunfeng, Chen Huili, and Liao Guangyan, and the drawings by Wang Yinglan and Xu Ganquan, with the whole battalion tasked with its construction which took only three months. At that time, General Hu Lian was the commander of Kinmen, and he embodied the spirit of resilience and hard work among the military and civilians in Kinmen, personally transporting stones from 2 kilometers away in Shanqian Village to build the surrounding wall of Zhongzheng Hall, which has become a well-known story.
