Kinmen High School Zhongzheng Hall Introduction
Jincheng Senior High School's Zhongzheng Hall is located on a high ground between the West Gate of Jincheng and Xiapu. It was established in October 1951, constructed under the supervision of Colonel Zhang Cailiang, the commander of the 3rd Battalion of the 20th Army Engineering Corps, with designs by Captain Liu Yunfeng, Chen Huaili, and Liao Guangyan, and drawings by Wang Yinglan and Xu Ganquan, with the entire military personnel assigned to the project. The construction took only three months. At that time, General Hu Lian was the commander of Kinmen, fostering the spirit of hardship and struggle among the military and civilians of Kinmen, setting an example by transporting stones from Shanjian Village, two kilometers away, to build the surrounding walls of Zhongzheng Hall, which became a well-known story.
