Jinmen Senior High School Zhongzheng Hall Introduction
The Zhongzheng Hall of Kinmen High School is located on a high ground between the west gate of Jincheng and Xiabu Xia. It was established in October of the 40th year of the Republic of China (1951), with construction overseen by Zhang Cailiang, the battalion commander of the 20th Army Engineer Group, and designed by company commanders Liu Yunfeng, Chen Hualai, and Liao Guangyan, while the drawings were created by Wang Yinglan and Xu Ganquan. All soldiers were tasked with the construction, which took only three months. At that time, General Hu Lian was the commander of Kinmen, who fostered the spirit of perseverance and hard work among the military and civilians in Kinmen, personally transporting stones from Shanjian Village, located two kilometers away, to build the surrounding walls of Zhongzheng Hall, which has become a well-known story.
