Houpu 16 Art and Cultural District Introduction
The sixteen storefronts located adjacent to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall are public properties of the Kinmen Chen Clan Association. With the support of the Chen Clan, these buildings have been preserved in their original form and revitalized, inviting emerging cultural and creative businesses to operate there, thus injecting cultural soft power into the Houpu Urban Area. Upon entering the Houpu 16 Arts and Cultural District, you will find each unique store developing impressive cultural and creative products. For example, "Curls & Tiles" transforms the decorative tiles seen in Kinmen's Western-style buildings through recoloring and illustration into practical everyday items for visitors. Other noteworthy stores include "Dream Tavern," "Plant Creation jGarden," and "Rosweet Studio Craft Aesthetics Studio"! The Houpu Town Tile Alley was jointly planned by the Kinmen Island Association and the Jincheng Township Office, with the execution carried out by Curls & Tiles Studio, using colorful spray paint in tile shapes to decorate the alleys, revamping abandoned brick walls into new tourist highlights!
