Houpu 16 Art and Cultural District Introduction
The sixteen shops located next to the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall are public properties of the Kinmen Chen Clan Association. With the support of the Chen Clan community, they have been preserved in their original appearance through restoration and revitalization efforts, inviting emerging creative businesses to set up shop and injecting cultural soft power into the Houpu urban area. Stepping into the Houpu 16 Arts and Cultural District, visitors can find unique shops, each developing stunning cultural creative products. For example, "Curly Lica" transforms the flower tiles commonly seen in Kinmen's Western-style buildings into practical everyday items through illustration and re-coloring, introducing them to travelers from afar. Other notable places such as "Dream Tavern," "Planted Creation jGarden," and "Rosweet Studio - Craft Aesthetic Studio" are also worth a visit! The Houpu Town Flower Tile Alley is a collaborative effort by the Kinmen Islands Association and the Jincheng Township Office, executed by Curly Lica Studio, using flower tile-shaped spray painting to create colorful decorations for the alleys, transforming abandoned brick walls into new tourist highlights!
