Houpuh 16 Art and Cultural District Introduction

The sixteen shop houses located next to the Chen Clan ancestral hall are public property of the Kinmen Chen Clan Association. With the support of the Chen Clan, the buildings have been preserved and revitalized through restoration, inviting emerging creative shops to move in, thereby injecting cultural soft power into the Houpu urban area. Upon entering the Houpu 16 Arts and Cultural Zone, one will find a series of unique shops, each developing impressive cultural and creative products. For instance, "Curling Maoli Card" transforms the colorful flower tiles commonly seen in Kinmen Western-style houses into practical everyday items through illustration and re-coloring, introducing them to travelers from afar. Other noteworthy shops include "Dream Tavern," "Plant Creation jGarden," and "Rosweet Studio." The Houpu Town Flower Tile Lane is jointly planned by the Kinmen Island Association and the Jin Cheng Township Office, executed by the Curling Maoli Studio, which uses spray-painting in the shape of flower tiles to decorate the alleys with vibrant colors, transforming abandoned dilapidated brick walls into new tourist attractions!
