Lion Fort is located on the right side of the Wujing River's outlet, just in front of the Fujian Provincial Government. This area was originally a ferry crossing for the Houpuxi region, historically known as "Tong'an Ferry." The coastal area nearby connects from the sea to the high ground outside the western gate of Jincheng (now the location of Kinmen Senior High School) and is also a cemetery.
