Lion Fortress is located on the right side of the Wujing River mouth, in front of the Fujian Provincial Government. This place was originally a ferry terminal for Haopu, historically known as "Tong'an Ferry." The coastal area nearby connects from the beach to the high ridge outside the west gate of Jincheng (the current location of Kinmen Senior High School), and it is also a cemetery.
