Lion's Fortress is located on the right side of the Wujian River outlet, right in front of the Fujian Provincial Government. This area was originally a ferry terminal for the Houpu area, historically known as "Tong'an Ferry." The coastal line nearby connects from the seaside to the high hill outside the western gate of Jincheng (the current location of Kinmen High School), which is also a cemetery.
