Kayi Indigenous Workshop Introduction
Teacher Kaiying has learned traditional weaving and embroidery since childhood by following and learning from the elders in her community. Through years of practice, she has developed exceptional skills and remains dedicated to the inheritance and promotion of tribal culture. She spares no effort in deepening the community's cultural foundation and enhancing her own aesthetic cultivation, seizing every resource and opportunity for continuous learning. On the walls of her studio, one can see an orderly display of design certification courses from both domestic and international sources. Behind the colorful indigenous clothing, there is a bookshelf filled with rich historical materials and compilations of indigenous culture. The small Kaiying Indigenous Cultural Studio, under Teacher Kaiying's persistence, is gradually accumulating energy and strength. It currently focuses on various indigenous cultural art pieces, including cross-stitch, traditional indigenous clothing, and improved custom garments and accessories, weaving the cultural symbols of the Amis people through needle and thread, ensuring their gradual inheritance.
