Taiwan Flower Tile Ancient House

Chiayi Foods

In the past century, the Wufeng Lin Family and Taiwan's chief city planner Wu Luanqi, along with thousands of wealthy merchants, have adorned their homes with precious floral tiles to showcase their family's wealth. Taiwan is thus filled with world-class, valuable floral tile culture. However, with urbanization and skyrocketing land prices, thousands of old houses adorned with floral tiles have been demolished one after another. We are a group of floral tile volunteers consisting of office workers who have quietly preserved thousands of century-old floral tiles over the past twenty years, using our time and savings. We have established a restoration center and are gradually building a comprehensive database on this land, hoping to leave precious visual records for future generations. Not only do we preserve, but we also provide valuable floral tiles "free of charge" to continuously support the restoration of old houses in Taiwan. 1. Open for visits from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. 2. A cleaning fee of NT$50, which can be offset against purchases. 3. Open normally during the Lunar New Year from February 17 to February 20.
