With the artist’s self-proclaimed "impractical" renovations, this sharply angled triangular old house stands amidst the traffic on Linye West Road, resembling a ship that sets sail at sunset, inviting everyone to dream while awake. Whether you immerse yourself in the sea of books, ponder in silence, or linger at the bar seeking caffeine or inspiration from contemporary thoughts, Chiu Shu Studio has no specific business activities, allowing for free expression once you step on board. A notable aspect is the atypical bookstore space crafted by designer Tsai Chih-hsien, showcasing dialogues between new and old materials, a mix of rigid lines and soft curves, the angle of the staircase, the interplay of light and shadow from the windows, freely displayed books, with the ultimate focus on the suspended ship machinery on the third floor, located at the top of the triangular peak.
