King's Flavor Indian Restaurant Introduction
The Fantastic Journey of an Indian Chef from a Five-Star Hotel Why did an Indian chef, who previously worked in a five-star hotel in Hsinchu, open a restaurant in Chiayi? According to the owner, there were original plans to find a location in Taipei, but during a trip to Chiayi, they unexpectedly saw a "for rent" sign on an old building next to the Tile Museum and thought it looked good, so they signed a lease. Moving south to Chiayi, she felt lost in a new place... A friend of a friend appeared on the owner's Facebook, who just happened to open a rice bowl restaurant in Chiayi. After getting in touch, the other party generously shared all their resources, which was an incredible stroke of luck. Even more surprisingly, on opening day, without any promotion, a group of tourists from Tainan were waiting at the door to dine. When asked how they found out about the restaurant, their answer was simply that they passed by! The owner described the whole experience as a dream; growing up in Taipei, she never expected to open a restaurant in Chiayi, especially offering authentic Indian cuisine. Fortunately, since the opening, various curry flavors and naan have each found their supporters, with the Masala Grilled Chicken Salad, Fresh Shrimp Curry, and Spiced Yogurt Grilled Chicken being particularly popular among most customers.
