The entrance features tatami mats and a Japanese Zen ambiance, with a simple and elegant space that reflects local cultural style. Large windows bring nature’s scenery and light into the space, offering a pleasant view of Huaye Forest Village, further enhancing the Japanese flavor. Here, it’s not just a dining hall but also a tea house, with dishes that include authentic cuisines such as okonomiyaki and Hiroshima-style savory pancakes, as well as Japanese red bean soup that is rich in flavor but not overly sweet. The restaurant uses locally-made ceramic bowls crafted by a master potter from Chiayi, providing a satisfying tactile experience along with delightful tastes.
