This endeavor is the dream of a local youth who cherishes his hometown. At that time, there were not many Western dining options suitable for young people, so the owner, Ah Mao, went to Taipei to learn the craft and brought American pizza back to his hometown, which quickly became popular. It remains the best-selling pizza place in Chiayi to this day. While following the American style, Handzai Pizza offers innovative interpretations. Their philosophy is to combine Western cooking techniques with local Chiayi ingredients or commonly found foods in Taiwan, applying them to pizza. The exclusive East Sea fresh oyster pizza features plump fresh oysters delivered directly from the source, paired with cucumber and shredded ginger, topped with fresh wasabi sauce from Alishan, creating a harmonious and layered seafood pizza experience. On the menu, there is a pizza called "Jiang Yanting Pizza," made with basil pesto, mushrooms, and bacon, which is the favorite pizza of Ah Mao's mentor. Her name is Jiang Yanting.
