Hand Pizza Introduction

"Shou Zai Pizza," which celebrates the local flavors of Dongshi fresh oysters, has been operating in Chiayi for 10 years, stemming from a local youth's dream of loving his hometown. At that time, there were few Western dining options suitable for young people, so the owner, A-Mao, specially went to Taipei to learn the craft and brought American pizza back to his hometown. It became a huge hit and remains the best-performing pizza restaurant in Chiayi. While adhering to American practices, it features innovative reinterpretations. Shou Zai Pizza's philosophy is to combine Western cooking techniques with local Chiayi ingredients or commonly found Taiwanese foods in their pizzas. Their exclusive creation, Dongshi Fresh Oyster Pizza, uses succulent oysters delivered directly from the source, paired with cucumber and ginger, drizzled with fresh wasabi sauce from Alishan, creating a lingering sharpness that adds depth to the seafood pizza. On the menu, there is a "Jiang Yanting Pizza," made with basil pesto, mushrooms, and bacon, named after A-Mao's teacher who loves this particular pizza flavor. After enjoying a savory pizza, if you're looking for dessert, you might consider a sweet pizza, taking the pizza experience all the way.
