Ming Hsin Food - Annan Store Introduction

Mingshin Food was founded in 1962, establishing Mingshin Grocery Store (now at the intersection of Changrong Road and Dongning Road) near National Cheng Kung University and Tainan First Senior High School. The store initially operated as a grocery shop selling daily necessities. Mr. Hsu Chun-Hsiung (currently the chairman) foresaw that Western-style pastries and breads would change the eating habits of the people, so he proactively attended the baking school in Nangang, Taipei (now the Chinese Grain Research Institute) to learn about baking knowledge and skills. The grocery store gradually transformed into a specialty shop for Western-style pastries and breads, and officially restructured into "Mingshin Food Enterprise Co., Ltd." in 1989 along with the development of the East District in Tainan City. Since the establishment of the second and third branches at the bottom of Dongning Road and Xiaodong Road in 1990, there are now ten stores in total. Over the past forty years, it has become a well-known pastry company in Southern Taiwan, with main products including bread, cakes, traditional and Western-style pastries, and gift boxes of local specialties from Tainan.
