Ming Hsin Foods - Annan Store Introduction

Mingshin Food was founded in 1962, establishing Mingshin Grocery Store (now located at the intersection of Changrong Road and Dongning Road) near National Cheng Kung University and Tainan First High School. The owner, Mr. Hsu Jhun-Hsiung (currently the chairman), foresaw that Western pastries would change the eating habits of the people. With a visionary outlook, he went to the Baking School in Nangang, Taipei (now the Chinese Grain Research Institute) to learn about baking-related knowledge and skills, gradually transforming the grocery store into a specialty shop for Western pastries. Accompanying the development of Tainan City's East District, it officially reorganized as "Mingshin Food Enterprise Co., Ltd." in 1989. Since opening its second and third branches in 1990 at the ends of Dongning Road and Xiaodong Road, it now has a total of ten locations and has become a well-known pastry company in southern Taiwan over the past forty years. The main products include bread, cakes, both Western and Chinese wedding cakes, and gift boxes featuring famous local specialties from Tainan.
