Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park Introduction
Koxinga Shrine Park is located on Section 2, Chengxi Street. It is said that in 1661, Koxinga landed in Taiwan at Lugang, and to commemorate his achievements, the Lugang Mazu Temple donated land to establish this memorial park. The entrance to the park features a grand red archway rich in traditional Chinese architectural style. To the left upon entering the park is "Success Forest," a grove of trees planted to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Koxinga's landing. The park also includes a tall statue of Koxinga and a monument inscribed with the words "National Hero Koxinga Landing Monument at Lugang" written by Mr. Jingguo. The simple park area has comfortable pavilions and spacious walking paths, making it a popular place for local residents to take a walk after meals.
