Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park Introduction
Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park is located on Section 2 of Chengxi Street. According to legend, in 1661, Zheng Chenggong landed in Taiwan at Lugang, and to commemorate his accomplishments, the Lugang Mazu Temple donated land to establish this memorial park. The entrance of the park features a magnificent red archway with traditional Chinese architectural style. On the left side upon entering the park is "Chenggong Forest," which was planted to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's landing, consisting of a grove of trees. The park also has a tall statue of Zheng Chenggong and a monument inscribed with the words "National Hero Zheng Chenggong Landing Monument at Lugang," written by Mr. Jingguo. The simple park area includes comfortable pavilions and spacious walkways, making it a popular spot for nearby residents to take walks after meals.
