Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park Introduction
Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park is located on Section 2, Chengxi Street. It is said that in 1661, Zheng Chenggong landed in Taiwan from the Luerhmen area. To commemorate his achievements, the Luerhmen Mazu Temple donated land to establish this memorial park. The entrance of the park features a grand red archway with traditional Chinese architectural style. On the left side of the park is the "Chenggong Forest," which was planted to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's landing. The park also houses a tall statue of Zheng Chenggong and a monument inscribed with the words "Monument of National Hero Zheng Chenggong's Landing at Luerhmen" by Mr. Jiang Guo. The modest park area includes comfortable pavilions and spacious walkways, making it a popular spot for nearby residents to take walks after meals.
