Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park Introduction
Zheng Chenggong Memorial Park is located on Section 2 of Chengxi Street. According to legend, in 1661, Zheng Chenggong landed in Taiwan at Luerhmen, and to commemorate his achievements, the Luerhmen Ma Zu Temple donated land to establish this memorial park. The entrance of the park features a magnificent red archway with traditional Chinese architectural style. To the left upon entering the park is the "Chenggong Forest," a grove planted to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Zheng Chenggong's landing. The park also houses a tall statue of Zheng Chenggong and a monument inscribed with the words "Monument to the National Hero Zheng Chenggong's Landing at Luerhmen," penned by Mr. Chiang Kai-shek. The simple park area includes comfortable pavilions and spacious walking paths, making it a popular spot for local residents to take strolls after meals.
