Klin Tai Bao Introduction
"Ke Lin Food Store" is a special memory for the people of Tainan, known for creating many memorable products. The "Eight Treasure Pork Bun," which started selling thirty-five years ago, is also Ke Lin's signature item, a masterpiece of the first generation Mr. Liu. The origin dates back to Chinese New Year's Eve when "Grandma Toujia" would prepare dishes using eight treasure meatballs, which can be steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or fried, making them a versatile ingredient. Mr. Liu modified the eight treasure meatballs to have a stronger flavor suitable for storage, as refrigerators were not common appliances at that time. A bun costs 15 NTD, and only 60 are sold each day, with limited availability.
