Baozi Fook Ji Meatballs Introduction
Jiali Meatballs, originally called "Baozi," were invented by Chen Jinfuh, who is affectionately known as "Baozi Fu" by the locals. After World War II, to distinguish them from buns, they were renamed "Meatballs." The filling consists of fresh pork, dried bamboo shoots, sweet potato, and dried shrimp, all wrapped in a fragrant and chewy outer skin. After being deep-fried, they are topped with garlic sauce, cilantro, and other condiments, making them delicious and well-known.
