Mantang Tea Products Introduction
In 2009, the 88 Flood swept across Taiwan, including Ruifeng Village in Chiayi, which is the hometown of Youzhen. After the disaster, Youzhen had the thought of "hoping to do something for my hometown." After the flood, she returned to her hometown and pondered how to make Ruifeng known to more people, while allowing tea lovers to taste the unique flavor of Ruifeng tea. Therefore, in 2014, Youzhen and her sister-in-law, Xingyuan, opened a store in Chiayi City under the brand "Mantan Tea," selling high-quality tea from Ruifeng Village, part of the Alishan tea system. The store features award-winning teas from domestic and international tea competitions, all sourced from local tea gardens and carefully selected by Youzhen. She hopes that customers and travelers visiting the store can understand the diverse characteristics of Alishan tea through tasting and introductions to the origin. Additionally, the store provides brewing guides in Chinese, English, and Japanese, teaching everyone how to brew good tea easily. The youthful and charming packaging, along with service in Chinese and English, has made it a prime destination for purchasing Alishan tea both domestically and internationally. Besides selling quality tea products, Mantan also collaborates with the Ruifeng community to hold rural experience activities periodically, allowing consumers to personally visit the hometown of champion tea and experience the complicated processes of tea picking, roasting, kneading, and production, all while sipping fragrant tea amidst the tranquil bamboo forest and nature. The brand name - "Mantan" symbolizes a fulfilling and enriching experience (滿) and a wanderer's nostalgia for home (棠). The logo features the blue magpie, an iconic symbol of the Tsou people, gracefully soaring through the store. It also carries Youzhen's deep and steadfast feelings for her hometown. If you have the chance, do visit Mantan to share in this sweet and pure experience. Recommended dishes: Limited-time tea products, Jin Xuan tea.
