A-Jhen's Traditional Cuisine Introduction
Located at the entrance of Xikou Wet Market, Auntie Jen's Traditional Cuisine has been in business for twenty years without a hanging sign. Although the decor is not lavish, the dedication of the owner and his wife to traditional flavors fills the restaurant with familiar and beloved aromas for every gourmet. Whether it's meatball soup, rice cake, pork spare ribs, or other soup dishes, each is worth tasting. Notably, the "Grandma's Taro Cake," which is only made on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is a signature dish passed down from the couple who once worked as catering chefs. It is now in its third generation, and every ingredient — from the filling to the skin — is made by hand, with no added chemical ingredients. Both the filling is generous and uniquely flavored, while the skin is chewy and fragrant. Customers describe it perfectly as "once you eat it, you will remember it; if you don’t eat it, you will miss it." To serve more customers, the restaurant currently offers ordering and delivery services for the taro cake and pork spare ribs. Everyone is welcome to place their orders.
