Chenggong Douhua Introduction
Chenggong Douhua is a local dessert shop opened by residents of Chenggong Township, and it has been in operation for over a decade. The owner initially learned the art of making douhua from relatives and friends in Tainan, and upon returning to Chenggong, started selling it from a stall in front of their home, experimenting with different varieties and toppings to present the traditional texture of douhua to consumers. In recent years, Chenggong Douhua has relocated to its current site, and with the assistance of a charity platform foundation, the shop's appearance was designed through discussions, inspired by the old houses from the Japanese colonial era in Chenggong. The current shop combines Japanese and traditional Taiwanese rural styles; in addition to their signature douhua, they also offer products such as job's tears and frozen treats, providing customers with more diverse options and becoming a well-known local dessert shop in Chenggong Township.
