Chenggong Douhua Introduction
Chenggong Douhua is a local dessert shop established by residents of Chenggong Township, operating for over a decade. The owner initially learned the skill of making douhua (tofu pudding) from friends and relatives in Tainan, and after returning to Chenggong, started selling it from a stall in front of their home. They have developed various flavors and toppings for the douhua, aiming to present the traditional texture to consumers. In recent years, Chenggong Douhua has moved to its current location, and with the help of a community foundation, the shop's exterior was designed based on the old houses from the Japanese occupation period in Chenggong, creating a blend of Japanese and Taiwanese traditional rural styles. In addition to the main douhua products, they also offer barley and ice dessert options, providing customers with a greater variety of choices, and the shop has become quite famous in Chenggong Township.
