Chenggong Douhua

Taitung Foods

Chenggong Douhua is a local dessert shop established by residents of Chenggong Township and has been in operation for over a decade. The owner initially learned the art of making douhua from friends and relatives in Tainan, and upon returning to Chenggong, started selling from a stall in front of their home, experimenting with different douhua toppings to present the traditional texture of douhua to consumers. In recent years, Chenggong Douhua moved to its current location, where, with the assistance of a public welfare foundation, the shop's exterior was designed inspired by the old houses from the Japanese colonial period in Chenggong, creating a space that blends Japanese and traditional Taiwanese rural styles. In addition to its signature douhua products, it also offers job's tears and frozen desserts, providing customers with a wider variety of choices and becoming a well-known local dessert shop in Chenggong Township.
