Chenggong Tofu Pudding Introduction
Chenggong Douhua is a local dessert shop established by residents of Chenggong Township, operating for over a decade. The owner initially learned the art of making Douhua from friends and family in Tainan. After returning to Chenggong, they started selling from a stall in front of their home and experimented with various Douhua toppings to present the traditional taste of Douhua to consumers. In recent years, Chenggong Douhua relocated to its current site, and with the assistance of a public welfare foundation, the shop’s exterior was designed based on discussions, inspired by the old houses from the Japanese colonial period in Chenggong. The result is a space that blends Japanese and traditional Taiwanese rural styles. Currently, besides their signature Douhua, they also offer courses of Job's tears and ice products, providing customers with a wider range of options, and it has become a well-known local dessert shop in Chenggong Township.
