A-Shang TEAFARM, founded by Mr. Chen Ming-ru, is based on Taiwan's high mountain tea. The original store is located in the Alishan National Scenic Area, in Meishan Township's Taiping Old Street, near the Taiping Cloud Ladder, standing amidst a serene environment where gentle breezes and mist intertwine, carrying over a history of more than sixty years. The brand was initially named "Lai Lai Tea Garden" after the founder's father, inspired by a quote from Confucius: "Is it not a joy to have friends come from afar?" This reflects a hope that tea lovers will often gather to enjoy tea together and share the delightful aroma. After many years, as tea quality and techniques evolved, A-Shang TEAFARM has consistently passed national tea quality certifications and the highest honors in tea tasting assessments. At this time, "Lai Lai Tea Garden" was officially renamed "A-Shang TEAFARM." The brand name "A-Shang" is derived from the homophone for "Awesome," emphasizing the brand's commitment to maintaining the highest quality of Taiwan's high mountain tea throughout its journey.
