A-Shang TEAFARM Introduction
A-Shang TEAFARM was founded by Mr. Chen Ming-ru, focusing on Taiwan's high mountain tea. The original store is located in the Alishan National Scenic Area, in a corner of Taiping Old Street in Meishan Township, near the Taiping Cloud Ladder. It stands quietly with a history spanning more than sixty years, amidst gentle breezes and drifting fog. In its early days, the brand was named “Lai Lai Tea Garden,” after the founder’s father, inspired by a quote from "The Analects": “Is it not a joy to have friends come from afar?” This signifies the hope that tea lovers will often gather to share the fragrant experience. Years later, as the quality and techniques of tea improved, A-Shang TEAFARM began passing the highest honors of national tea quality certification and tea tasting qualifications, prompting the official renaming of “Lai Lai Tea Garden” to “A-Shang TEAFARM.” The brand name “A-Shang” is a play on the word "Awesome," emphasizing the continuous maintenance of the best quality of Taiwan's high mountain tea. Since its establishment, A-Shang TEAFARM has been committed to hand-picking high mountain tea and adhering to principles of integrity and sustainable management, aiming to allow friends from around the world to taste the fresh and sweet essence of Taiwan's high mountain tea.
