A-SHANG TEAFARM Introduction
A-Shang TEAFARM, founded by Mr. Chen Ming-ju, is based on Taiwan's high mountain tea. The original store is located on the North Road of the Alishan National Scenic Area, in the Taiping Old Street of Meishan Township, near the Taiping Cloud Ladder. It stands in the tranquility of gentle breezes and drifting fog, surpassing a history of over sixty years. In its early days, the brand was named "Lai Lai Tea Garden," after the founder's father, derived from a saying in the Analects: "Is it not a joy to have friends come from afar?" The meaning is a hope that friends who enjoy tea can frequently gather to share the fragrant experience. Years later, as tea quality and techniques improved, A-Shang TEAFARM passed national tea quality certifications and the highest honors in tea tasting examinations, and the name "Lai Lai Tea Garden" was formally changed to "A-Shang TEAFARM." The brand name "A-Shang" is a homophonic play on "Awesome," emphasizing the brand's ongoing commitment to maintaining the best quality of Taiwan's high mountain tea. Since its establishment, A-Shang TEAFARM has insisted on manually hand-picking high mountain tea and has continuously cultivated the local area with principles of honesty and sustainable management, hoping to allow friends from all over the world to taste the fresh green sweetness that truly belongs to Taiwan's high mountain tea.
