A-SHANG TEAFARM, founded by Mr. Chen Ming-Ju, is based on Taiwan's high mountain tea. The original store is located in the Alishan National Scenic Area, at a corner of Taiping Old Street in Meishan Township, near the Taiping Cloud Ladder. Standing amidst the gentle breeze and drifting mist, it has a history that surpasses sixty years. In its early days, it was named "Lai Lai Tea Garden," after the founder's father, taken from the Analects: "Is it not a joy to have friends come from afar?" This name reflects the hope that friends who enjoy tea can frequently gather to share the fragrance. Years later, with improvements in tea quality and techniques, A-SHANG TEAFARM received the highest honors in national tea quality assessment and tea tasting examinations, at which point "Lai Lai Tea Garden" was officially renamed "A-SHANG TEAFARM." The brand name "A-SHANG" is a homophone for "Awesome," emphasizing the brand's commitment to maintaining the best quality of Taiwan's high mountain tea. Since its establishment, A-SHANG TEAFARM has steadfastly adhered to handpicking high mountain tea and continues to cultivate locally with honesty and sustainable management, aspiring to let friends from all over the world taste the fresh and sweet essence of Taiwan's high mountain tea.
