Ke Ji Cantonese Congee Introduction

Located next to the famous Qiu Liang Gong Mother Festival Memorial Arch, this restaurant has been operating for over half a century and is one of the old Cantonese congee shops in the Kinmen area. Every night, fresh congee is cooked slowly over low heat, resulting in a lighter flavor compared to other establishments. Now, it is run by the second generation. The congee is brimming with slices of meat and minced meatballs, complemented by pig liver and fish balls, and topped with a sprinkle of pepper and chopped celery. Remember to order the crispy fried crullers, which should be soaked in the congee before eating, a local delicacy in Kinmen that is truly exceptional. Additionally, the restaurant also offers handmade scallion pancakes and carefully crafted peanut soup and mung bean soup.
