Ke Ji Cantonese Porridge Introduction

Located next to the famous Qiu Liang-gong Mother's Filial Piety Arch, this restaurant has been in operation for over half a century and is one of the well-known Cantonese congee shops in the Kinmen area. Every night, fresh congee is simmered slowly to achieve a creamy texture, with a more delicate flavor compared to other establishments. It is currently operated by the second generation. The congee is filled with tender slices of meat and meatballs, complemented by pig liver and fish balls, finished off with a sprinkle of pepper and minced celery. Don't forget to order the crispy fried youtiao (Chinese crullers); the local way to enjoy them is to let the youtiao soak up the congee before taking a bite, making for a truly exceptional experience. Additionally, the restaurant offers handmade scallion pancakes and carefully brewed peanut soup and mung bean soup for selection.
