Keji Cantonese Porridge Introduction
Located next to the famous Qiu Liang Gong Mother Virtue Archway, this restaurant has been in operation for over half a century and is one of the well-known Cantonese congee establishments in the Kinmen area. Every evening, fresh congee is simmered slowly over low heat until it reaches a creamy consistency, with a milder flavor compared to other shops. The restaurant is now run by the second generation. The congee is filled with generous slices of meat and minced meatballs, accompanied by pig liver and fish balls, and finally topped with a sprinkle of pepper and chopped celery. Don't forget to order the crispy fried youtiao; enjoy it by letting it soak up the soup before taking a bite, which is the authentic way to eat it in Kinmen, and its taste is truly remarkable. Additionally, the restaurant offers handmade scallion pancakes and carefully crafted peanut soup and mung bean soup as options.
