Keji Cantonese Porridge

Keji Cantonese Porridge Introduction

Located next to the famous Qiu Liang Gong Mother Filial Piety Arch, this restaurant has been in operation for over half a century and is one of the well-known Cantonese congee places in Kinmen. Every evening, fresh congee is cooked slowly over low heat until it reaches a thick consistency, and its flavor is milder compared to other establishments. Currently, it is run by the second generation. The congee is generously filled with slices of meat and meatballs, complemented by pig liver and fish balls, and topped with a sprinkle of pepper and chopped celery. Don’t forget to order the crispy fried youtiao, and let it soak in the congee before taking a bite, as this is the authentic way to enjoy it in Kinmen. Additionally, the restaurant offers handmade scallion pancakes and carefully prepared peanut soup and mung bean soup for selection.
