San Bao Zhai Introduction

San Bao Zhai is located on Mofan Street, run by boss Guo Wenli, who has been making shaobing for over 20 years. With a family recipe passed down through three generations, the local delicacy is named "San Bao Zhai" because he had three precious daughters, and his neighbor, the ceramic artist Wang Mingzong, helped him come up with the name. The shaobing is handmade, fresh, and delicious, with a sweet aroma and a flaky texture. Its main features include high-quality ingredients, with the dough brushed with egg wash, ensuring that the shaobing remains flaky even when cooled. The entire production process is done by hand and baked slowly. Sweet flavor: The cross-section resembles a mille-feuille, truly flaky, and often crumbles if not careful. It has a solid texture, with the aroma of malt, and is filled with brown sugar, making it sweet and refreshing. Savory flavor: Made with pork leg and scallions, along with a secret recipe, it meets health requirements without adding flavor enhancers. The moisture, saltiness, and texture of the meat filling are worth tasting.
