Kaiying Indigenous Workshop Introduction
Teacher Kaiying has been learning traditional weaving and embroidery from the elders of her tribe since childhood, accumulating a high level of skill over the years. She is dedicated to the inheritance and promotion of tribal culture, tirelessly working to deepen the cultural foundation of her community and enhance her own aesthetic sensibility. She seizes every resource and opportunity to engage in continuous learning. On the walls of her studio, one can see a neatly arranged collection of design certification courses from both domestic and international sources. Behind the colorful indigenous clothing, there is also a rich collection of indigenous cultural historical materials and portfolios in her bookshelf. The small Kaiying Indigenous Cultural Studio has, under her persistence, gradually accumulated energy and strength. To date, it focuses on various cultural art pieces, including cross-stitch, traditional indigenous clothing, improved tribal custom garments, and accessories, weaving the cultural symbols of the Amis people into every stitch, passing on the legacy bit by bit.
