A Shui Workshop Introduction
A Shui Workshop x Cultural Creative Dongtang 191 was established in 2013, integrating local creative resources and energies from Taitung, emerging as a cultural creative platform that gives voice to local artists and cultural creators. It develops hands-on experience courses to increase public participation, operating a multi-functional space that combines product exhibitions and arts and culture. This injects a new force into Taitung's cultural creative industry. Through A Shui Workshop x Cultural Creative Dongtang 191, we aim to create a space for Taitung artists to freely create and exchange, realizing local artistic culture. A Shui (Chen Zhengrui)'s creations are centered around indigenous spirituality, expressed through wood carving, iron sculpture, installation art, and commercial space transformation. In 2013, the A Shui Workshop team launched the "Simple Life, Reclaiming the Tactile" product series, combining driftwood with local elements, creating simple and environmentally friendly works using indigenous thought processes, making good use of materials bestowed by nature, and adding a touch of ingenuity and creativity to life in Taitung!
