Le Chat Noir Introduction
Art is the most charming seasoning. Stepping into this 60-year-old house, you won't feel the passage of time; instead, you'll be filled with the artistic fusion of Chiayi and France. The old space is adorned with antiques brought back from France and oil paintings created by the artistic owner. The restaurant occasionally hosts cultural events, inviting Taiwanese artists to perform here, offering dessert-making classes, art exhibitions, wine tastings, and allowing this space to embody many delicate and vibrant artistic souls. In addition to the French aesthetic, we also bring local authentic flavors - French crepes, a soft French pastry that was once only available in a few five-star hotels in Northern Taiwan, but has become a daily delight in Chiayi. Served with handmade fruit jams, carefully selected fresh Taiwanese fruits, Alishan longan honey, orange liqueur, and other local ingredients, we blend the flavors of China and France together. The dessert is paired with French estate pink sparkling wine, appealing to your taste buds, inviting you to discover the most charming seasons of life here. French artist Toph hosts art exhibitions, various cultural events, French cuisine, and wine at Le Chat Noir, facilitating cultural exchange between Taiwan and France. Address: No. 518, Linsen E.
