Deer Farm Introduction
Located in Donghe Village, Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County, Luchang, formerly known as Jiubusi, got its name from the indigenous Jiubusi tribe that once inhabited the area. Later, due to the abundant deer found in the Luchang mountainous region, Han settlers named it Luchang when they developed Nanzhuang. It is a simple and secluded mountain village. Luchang is the farthest upstream habitation of the Atayal tribe in the Zhonggang River, situated on the northeast foothills of Jialishan, surrounded by numerous peaks of the Jialishan massif, with lush greenery enveloping the entire area. The magnificent mountain landscape and the scenery of natural canyons evoke a feeling of paradise! Luchang was once affected by geological changes, causing the residents to relocate to Dongjiang New Village above the Nanzhuang nursery, but most residents returned to Luchang to cultivate mushrooms and medicinal herbs for a living. The local transportation is inconvenient, so the primitive natural landscape remains intact, with layered mountains, dense forests, and deep ravines, creating a stunning and charming natural scenery.
