Fuxing Granary Introduction
Fuxing Granary was originally a storage place for rice, gathering grains from various regions, symbolizing abundance. Built around 1935, it still retains the complete traditional features of "tiger windows," walls made of rough rice husk and straw, as well as clay. It has become an important landscape marker in Fuxing Township. Changhua County is known for its agriculture, and Fuxing Township has been a significant agricultural area since the Japanese colonial era, which allowed for the establishment of this large granary covering nearly a thousand ping. The most precious aspect of Fuxing Granary is its roof, equipped with tiger windows for ventilation and heat dissipation; this unique structural design is highly worth appreciating in architecture.
