Fuqing Granary Introduction
Fuxing Granary was originally a place for storing rice, aggregating rice from various districts, and is a symbol of abundance. The Fuxing Granary was built around the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935) and still retains its complete traditional "tiger windows," walls made of coarse rice husks, straw, and clay, making it an important landscape marker in Fuxing Township. Changhua County is known as an agricultural stronghold, and Fuxing Township has been a major agricultural area since the Japanese colonial period, allowing for the establishment of a large granary covering nearly one thousand ping. The most valuable aspect of the Fuxing Granary is its roof, which features "tiger windows" for ventilation and heat dissipation; this unique architectural structure is noteworthy in terms of construction.
