Fuxing Grain Warehouse Introduction
Fuxing Granary was originally a place for storing rice, gathering grains from various areas, symbolizing abundance. The Fuxing Granary was built around the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935) and still retains its complete traditional "tiger windows," walls made of rough rice husks, straw, and clay. It has become an important landmark in Fuxing Township. Changhua County is known as an agricultural county, and Fuxing Township has been a major agricultural area since the Japanese colonial period, which allowed for the establishment of a granary covering nearly 1,000 pings. The most valuable aspect of Fuxing Granary is its roof, which features "tiger windows" that serve for ventilation and heat dissipation; this unique architectural structure is quite worthy of appreciation.
