Fuxing Granary Introduction
The "Fuxing Granary" was originally a place for storing rice, gathering grains from various areas, and symbolizes abundance. Constructed around the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), it still retains its complete traditional "tiger windows," walls made of husks, straw, and clay. It has become an important landscape marker in Fuxing Township. Changhua County is known for its agriculture, and Fuxing Township has been an agricultural hub since the Japanese colonial period, which enabled the establishment of a vast granary spanning nearly a thousand ping. The most valuable aspect of the "Fuxing Granary" is its roof, which features "tiger windows" for ventilation and heat dissipation. This unique architectural structure is certainly worthy of appreciation.
