Baqi Viewing Platform Introduction

Baqi Viewing Platform is located at the 32 km mark of Highway 11, making it a rare high point along the coastal highway. From the viewing platform, one can see the Isu Bay, Turtle Head Cape, and Xinshe Cliff to the south, which offer a unique layered coastal landscape. There are several coin-operated telescopes available for visitors to get a clearer view. On calm days during sunset, you can see fishing boats returning home; looking south from the platform, you can clearly see the small hill on the south side of Isu Bay and the volcanic crater at the top. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration has set up a rest area here, surrounded by many shady trees and elegant flowerbeds, featuring a spacious parking lot and clean restrooms. There is also a small shop in indigenous style locally, showcasing the owner's art creations, small toys made from driftwood, and various indigenous handicrafts. It offers hot and cold drinks, light meals, stewed snacks, various beverages, and coffee. Rustic wooden tables and chairs allow visitors to rest and enjoy their food and drinks.
