Stargazing Park Introduction
The Stargazing Park is located in the area of Guanyin Mountain, east of Shanshui Beach, by the Shanshui Fishing Port, which is a famous snorkeling spot at the foot of the mountain. The park was renovated and completed in 2008, and by climbing along the pathway, visitors can overlook the Shanshui Harbor. Behind the mountain, there are meadows and coastal paths; within the park, there are three pavilions where one can take a break along the trail before continuing on. In the depression behind the mountain, there is a star chart monument depicting the four seasons. The design of the celestial observatory area can shield the lights from fishing boats during summer nights, allowing for unobstructed stargazing. Visitors can appreciate the starry sky in this observation square. Shanshui Stargazing Park is situated at the highest point on the eastern side of Shanshui, offering a spectacular view of Shanshui Beach and the Shanshui Fishing Port, with the vast blue sea in sight. On the other side, one can see the expansive coastal meadow and sandy pathways between the harbor and Shanshui. The wide meadows present unique beauty in summer's lush greenery and winter's desolate yellows. Here, visitors can watch the sunrise in the morning, sunset in the evening, and stargaze at night.
