Star Watching Park Introduction
The Stargazing Park is located at the eastern side of the mountains by the Shanshui Beach, near the Shanshui Fishing Port area. Shanshui is famous for its snorkeling area, right at the waterfront at the foot of the mountains. The park was renovated and completed in 2008, and by climbing along the path, visitors can overlook the Shanshui Harbor from the Stargazing Park. Behind the mountains, there are grasslands and coastal trails. Within the Stargazing Park, there are three pavilions where visitors can take a break before continuing their journey. In a hollow at the back of the mountain, there is a star chart reference stone tablet depicting the four seasons. This astronomical facility is designed to shield the harbor and the summer night fishing lights from boats in Shanshui waters, allowing for a smoother stargazing experience. Visitors can enjoy a starry sky at the stargazing square. Shanshui Stargazing Park, located at the highest point on the eastern side of Shanshui, offers a bird’s-eye view of Shanshui Beach and the Shanshui Fishing Port, with the vast blue sea in sight. On the other side, one can see the expansive coastal grassland and sandy trails between the harbor and Shanshui. The wide grassland exhibits unique beauty in both summer's lush greenery and winter's withered yellow. Here, one can watch the sunrise in the morning, enjoy the sunset in the evening, and stargaze at night. 【Recommended Stay Time】 1.5 hours
