Star Observing Park Introduction
The Stargazing Park is located on Guanyin Mountain, near the Shanshui Fishing Port on the eastern coast of Shanshui Beach. This area is famous for snorkeling, and the beach is right at the foot of the mountain. Completed in 2008, the Stargazing Park features a path that allows visitors to climb up and enjoy the view of Shanshui Harbor. Behind the mountain, there are grasslands and coastal trails; within the park, there are three pavilions where visitors can take a break along the path before continuing their journey. In a depression on the back of the mountain, there is an astrological stone tablet illustrating the seasonal changes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. This design of the astronomical observation area helps shield the light from fishing boats at night during the summer, allowing for an unobstructed stargazing experience. Visitors can enjoy the starry sky in this stargazing square. Shanshui Stargazing Park, situated at the highest point on the eastern side of Shanshui, offers a panoramic view of Shanshui Beach and the fishing port, with the vast blue ocean stretching out before you. On the other side, there is a wide coastal grassland and sandy path between the harbor and Shanshui, where the expansive grassland showcases its unique beauty in both lush green in summer and golden yellow in winter.
