Shanshui Wu Family Ancestral Hall Introduction
Shanshui Beach stretches over 200 meters, offering an endless view of blue and white. The expansive scenery is refreshing, with golden sands lining the waters, interspersed with lush green vines. The golden sunlight reflects off the blue surface of the water, and the ocean here is exceptionally clear. When visiting this golden beach, you will find two prominent low ancient houses along the embankment, amidst modern buildings. These ancient structures are aligned horizontally, with a humble grayish tone that stands out in contrast; although not luxurious, the houses exude a unique charm and significance, representing the history of Shanshui, which is nearly a century old. It is said that these were once seen by three brothers from Shanshui Village, originally consisting of three ancient houses, but one has since been renovated into a metal shed and is occupied, while the other two remain uninhabited. The Shanshui ancient houses feature a lower half made of random stones and an upper half constructed with lime mixed with coral stones. The corners are bricklayed, making the houses appear more robust, adorned with a few decorative tiles; unfortunately, many have collapsed due to lack of habitation and maintenance. These ancient houses face Shanshui Beach, and in the days before the embankment, the beach and sea were just outside their doors, offering a truly delightful experience. 【Recommended visiting time】 1 hour.
