Shan Shui Beach Introduction
Shanshui Beach is one of the must-visit beaches in Penghu, stretching over 200 meters. Due to Penghu's rich natural resources, it is less affected by artificial pollution, and the sand presents a beautiful golden color. Surrounding the beach are large patches of lush green saddle vines. Under the sunlight, the vibrant blue sea, green vegetation, and golden sand create a striking color palette, making it a popular tourist destination. In ancient times, Shanshui Beach was interestingly named "Zhumu Luoshui." Legend has it that a mother pig ran onto the beach and encountered a giant octopus in the sea. After a struggle, the mother pig was dragged into the water by the octopus, which is how it got the name "Zhumu Luoshui." During the Japanese colonial period, the name was changed to "Zhumu Shui," and it wasn't until the retrocession of Taiwan that it was renamed "Shanshui." At the entrance of the beach, a large 3D mural is painted on the seawall, incorporating the "Zhumu Luoshui" story. Additionally, a physical surfboard is embedded into the seawall, elevating the 3D experience to 4D. Visitors can stand on the surfboard and take photos with the 3D mural, appearing as if they are battling the giant octopus alongside the mother pig, making it very worthy of a memorable photo opportunity. 【Recommended stay time】 1 hour
