Shanshui Fishing Port Introduction
On the eastern side of Shanshui Beach lies Shanshui Fishing Port, next to Shanshui Stargazing Park, which was renovated in 2008 and features pavilions, stargazing signposts, and walking paths. Shanshui Fishing Port is located on the southern coast of Penghu and is classified as a Type III fishing port, primarily serving local fishermen for mooring their boats, unloading fish, and recreational purposes. The port faces the vast waters of Penghu South Sea and relies on marine resources for livelihood, employing methods such as gill nets, trawling, and longline fishing. To the west of Shanshui Fishing Port stretches about one kilometer of golden sandy Shanshui Beach, contrasting beautifully with the blue sea, featuring fine, smooth white sand and gentle terrain, making it ideal for swimming and surfing.
