Shanshui Fishing Port Introduction
On the eastern side of the famous Shanshui Beach is Shanshui Fishing Port, adjacent to Shanshui Stargazing Park, which was renovated in 2008 and features pavilions, stargazing signposts, and walking paths. Shanshui Fishing Port is located on the southern coast of Penghu and is classified as a third-class fishing port, primarily providing services for local residents to dock their fishing boats and rafts, unload fish, and relax. The port faces the expansive waters of the Southern Penghu Sea, where the local fishing community relies on fishing for their livelihood, using methods such as drift nets, trawls, and longline fishing. To the west of Shanshui Fishing Port, there is about a kilometer of golden shell sand at Shanshui Beach, contrasting beautifully with the blue sea.
