Shanshui Fishing Port Introduction
On the eastern side of Shanshui Beach, there is Shanshui Fishing Port, next to Shanshui Stargazing Park, which was renovated and completed in 2008, featuring pavilions, stargazing signposts, and walking trails. Shanshui Fishing Port is located on the southern coast of Penghu and is classified as a Type III fishing port, mainly providing parking for fishing boats and rafts for Shanshui residents, as well as facilities for unloading fish and leisure activities. The port faces the vast Pengnan sea area, where the local fishing livelihoods are primarily based on methods such as gillnetting, trawling, and longline fishing. To the west of Shanshui Fishing Port lies a golden shell sand beach stretching approximately one kilometer, contrasting beautifully with the blue sea, showcasing fine, continuous white sand and gentle terrain, making it suitable for swimming and surfing.
