In recognition of the virtuous conduct of Su Shi, the wife of Wu Guobu, a scholar from Tamsui District, a memorial archway was built in the sixth year of the Guangxu Emperor (1880). Wu Guobu participated in the donation for the construction of Tamsui's city walls and received an award. Su Shi remained widowed at the age of twenty-six and upheld her chastity for over forty years.
