In recognition of the chastity and filial piety of Su Shi, the wife of the scholar Wu Guobu from Tamsui District, a stone archway was built in the sixth year of Guangxu (1880). Wu Guobu participated in the donation for the construction of Tamsui District City and received awards for it. Su Shi became a widow at the age of twenty-six and remained faithful for over forty years.
