To honor the virtuous conduct of Su Shi, the wife of scholar Wu Guobu from Tamsui District, a ceremonial archway was built in the sixth year of the Guangxu period (1880). Wu Guobu participated in the fundraising for the construction of Tamsui District City, which received awards. Su Shi became a widow at the age of twenty-six and upheld her chastity for over forty years.
